I made it exactly as you had with the exception of the little tiny mushrooms...or perhaps that was not the Vindaloo that had those. Yesterday, I was at Corrado market in Wayne, NJ, I met your daughter of Patricia, she was a fine young lady and charming. I bought 6 jars of different sauces and I made one jar on the dinner last night (6/24/10), they liked very much. I love curry all my life.
